Since moving to Boone in 1998, I have been very moved by the great beauty that surrounds us here. The vibrant colors, textures and patterns, expansive vistas, meadows, running streams, and vegetation have greatly inspired my work. I feel that I have captured these elements very sensitively in my images. My work depicts the traditions, architecture, ways of life, and natural scenic beauty of this very special area.

When I shoot, I'm always looking for textures, patterns, lightening and color - and how they work with each other or oppose each other. I always want some kind of interaction between these elements. The more texture and pattern the better for me. I like the quality of old wood, shapes of doors, hinges, rusting etc. that you can see around us.

Expressing different cultural interests, lifestyles, flora and fauna, and architectural designs through my work brings great fulfillment to me.
